Where'd you get it, and for how much?

Damn you for making me have second thoughts on my laptop purchase. The return period passed a month ago too!

Someone donated it to the school,they threw it away, I saved it from certain death.
 
My 6 year old has one of those. I wish it would boot to cd so I could upgrade the os or throw linux on it. Access the bios yet?

Yes. The key combination is apaprently repeated gnashing of the esc, tab, backspace and enter keys for about 30 seconds. There's nothing of interest there. I have a CD drive for mine, but it's parallel. I suspect that the only way I'm ever going to get a decent OS onto this thing is a Linux network install - gotta get me a PC Card NIC.
