My new Iwill KK266.... Question about fan headers.

I have the swiftech m462 with the sanyo. The fan has two wires attached (4 pin molex and 3 pin). I assume the 3 pin with the yellow wire is for the rpm reader. But i'm not getting any rpm readings. Any idea? Hope the fan header on the mobo is not bad. Trying to look for another fan to see if it would read rpm readings.

Make sure you are plugging the 3 pin connector onto the CPU fan header..their are only two fan headers that will report RPM signals to the Bios. The first one is the CPU header near the top of the board, and the second one is the "system" header in the lower right hand corner of the board..near the LED and Power Switch connection pins. It has to be plugged into one of these for the bios to report the RPM. The other headers just supply power...
