My Q9300 @ 3.0, 8GB DDR2-800, GTX460 1GB OC, and OCZ 30GB Agility SSD, gets 7.3. (Video card is 7.5 in both categories.)

My stock clocked Core i5-2500K gets 7.5.

This guy's i7-2600K gets 7.6 at stock clocks.

This end user review of the i3-2120 got the same 7.1 as you did.

This totally different end user also got the same 7.1 as you, with his i3-2120.

This review is the one showing the i3-2120 getting a lofty 7.6. Somehow I don't think it is as fast as an i7-2600K and faster than my i5-2500K, let alone all the other i3-2120s.

My Thuban gets a 7.6. Obviously it is the better processor.

I wonder why the benchmark varies so much.

I suppose scores can be pushed up or down depending on the speed of other components and how "clean" the windows install is. If you have 20 bits of bloatware/random other programs/spyware etc snarling up your system then the scores are going to start dropping, could also depend on the speed and timings of your RAM and how fast your OS HDD/SSD is.
