Old Computer was AMD 900 mHZ so I'll have a nice speed jump.

Great. Though I personally would've gone with a lower rated CPU and gotten a 7800 or X1900.

Nice job. You will really be able to overclock that 3800+ too....As far as the GPU, it depends on what you are going to use it for.

doesnt matter if you had gotten a lower cpu and higher video card...anything in the athlon64 range will show you PHENOMENAL performance. trust me.

Well got the XP Pro installed and updated. So far I am impressed with hoe fast my new computer is. Tomarrow I'll be bench marking it and I might even run prime95 just to make sure that it is stable.

wait, he's getting the cheapest dual core already... what are you trying to tell him? a 3800 is a great deal, and he should be able to get at least an FX-60 out of it on air.

Oops! Hahaha. I'm stuck in single core land, where 3800+ is a lot. I will never get used to these CPU ratings. Yes, 3800+ is the perfect choice for X2!

Well this is my first post from my new rig...So far I am quite happy with it...I still have not run Prime95 or Memtest. I had to load some other programs so it is ready for Monday morning. Now it is time to have some fun.
