Take into account that he could have gotten a slower P4 and o/c'ed...there are 2.8's that are doing 3.5Ghz @ default voltage and with retail HSF's. Also take into account a motherboard like the Abit is a hell of a lot nicer than a Dell OEM board.

I was just saying you can't really get a better deal if you don't already have software.

But then most people only have software because they already bought a Dell/Gateway/whatever other that came with it free, and then re-used it on the next PC's they had when they realised pre-made ones suck.

I went from playing UT2K4 at fairly low settings at 800x600 at ~20 fps to everything maxed out at 1600x1200 at ~55fps, it looks soo good especially on my new 2001FP LCD!

Well, maybe not the 2001fp. But i do have a dually setup.

I got pretty much the same here; just include 1.5 gigs of ram and another 80 gig hdd to your set up. Although I am running just a 19" crt with a second 17" lcd. Love having the specs to play any game.

The monitor alone is worth that much when it's not on sale
