My new cell phone kicks ass

Nice!
I'm looking to get a cell phone sometime this summer or early fall from home so that when I take it to college, people can call me from home for free. 🙂

My dad got that exact phone about a month ago and he absolutely loves it. And I thought my 8260 was small...

I want that phone, but the Verizon rep at my old work wouldn't hook me up. Well I would have had to give it back since I was laid off and use sprint for my personal phone.

<< Nice to be able to drop $300 bucks on a phone. >>

Nah...I paid $149.99 for it...the company I work for has a corporate contract with AT&T and we get excellent rate plans and cheap phones. This Motorola was the most expensive and the Nokia 8260's are only $49.99 under our rates....everyone I work with is ordering this Motorola after seeing mine...God what a bunch of Uber Geeks we are......

<< $300

For us non-corporate account people.

Don't some places discount the phone when you sign up for service? I live in LA, and all my chinese friends are telling me to go to the chinese cell phone shops to get phat deals. One friend got quoted for 130 bucks.

$149? Ok, tell your rep your phone got lost and sell it to me for $200, then get a new one 😉

And why not? It's the best Motorola ever. 🙂

My Verizon LG-TM510 was half that price though. I'm happy enough with My LG though (if I depended on my phone more, and I never dropped phones on concrete, the Motorola V60c might be better for me). Verizon (was US West, then Air Touch) is well known to be the best in the twin cities of Minnesota.

Edit: Oops, my phone was half of the $300 regular price of the AT&T V60t.

ya i got that fone too. 😛
from at&t themselves.
got mine for $150.00

aww ya it's dope!

have u ever found any sites for ringtones?

thx

The Touch Point 1100. That's almost exactly like my LG, but mine's a tri-mode and it's black, and yours has TP firmware that's easier to use for sure. I couldn't deal with Sprint service/roaming any more though, so I had to give up their excellent Touch Point phones in favor of a company with "no roaming" plans.

So far I've had the best luck with Motorola phones. I've had 3 Nokia's and they all seemed to crap out after about 4-6 months. Screens would die, sound quality would go to crap, constantly needing to be flashed for some reason, etc.... I gave up on them and had 2 Ericsson's, can't remember the model # but they were the flip phone type, and those damn things stopped working whenever it got slightly humid outside. Here in Oklahoma humidity is pretty much an every day thing in the summer and those Ericsson's just couldn't take it for some reason. I switched to a Motorola StarTac 7797 about 2 years ago and have never had a problem with it. In fact my Dad is going to take it and replace his Nokia 5165 with it. I guess everyone has a favorite and I've been impressed with Mototrola.
