My New bulid has problems

I updated my graphics card, motherboard and processor. Now im having problems. Firstly i tried booting off my old os, but it didnt work so i had to reinstall XP. Then everything was fine, until i did some overclocking and at one clock the screen kept on flickering and then it froze. I restarted and I got a message like "REGISTRY RECOVERY: some files were corrupt... successful recovery", but a second after i clicked ok the computer would restart. I therefore tried the recovery CD and it went fine the first 5 minutes, but froze at minutes left: 34. I had to restart and now i get "restarting install........." and then it reboots. Is my power supply to weak, is there something wrong with my components? Is windows just beeing stupid?

Here is my system:
A8N SLI Delux
3700+
7800 GTX
2048 MB kingston value ram or something
1 IDE HD with OS
1 SATA HD with other files
550 WATT LC-Power PSU (i know its not great, but it has worked flawlessly for 2 years, its 20 pin)

Yeah i know, that is going to be my next upgrade, but I just find it strange that it always restarts in the same places and that it worked when i reinstalled XP without a problem

Ach, ill reinstall XP i guess. I probably should have gone to safe mode or something instead of tryting the xp cd
