My new build with pics! SLI or not?

Hey guys, I'm starting to build a new rig while I finish up dive school. It sucks to work in a hotel/barracks room, but whatever. I'm going for the best airflow, wiring, and performance I can possibly get (cost within reason). See sig. for components so far.

Opteron with stepping before lap job:

This mod is to overcome the lack of fan mounts in the case front (air will seep in the front compartment, and be filtered before hitting the mobo compartment):

Question: Should I wait for 2 7900GTs in March, or use one X1900XT OC'd to hold me for the summer. (I leave for Iraq in the fall, and when I'm back the G80 should be kickin. I don't want to blow 1000 just for a little extra AA over a few months.)

i recommend 1900XT over SLI GT, big thread over in video debating the issue though

Did you mean 7800GT? How can we recommend a video card that doesn't exist?

It's a PC-V1200 upside down without wheels. (My cases go on dresser-tops, so I don't need them) I am using a heatpipe motherboard, so I wanted to keep it at its maximum performance.

I don't expect anyone to know as far as performance, but I do mean G71 (7900). I can get an X1900XT sooner for a great price, but I could also wait for the G71 release in [March]? I'm confident that 2 G71s would blast any single card away, but is it worth twice the cash for only several months?

The thing is, FEAR is the most demanding game I should be running this summer, unless Oblivion is even more demanding, and even an X1900XT would be able to run it with 4xAA. (I am going for the Samsung 244t)
