My New Build Log

Haven't done a new build since ~2008 since my HTPC, Laptop, and Tablet has been doing me well.

Going to use a mix of used and new parts:

Cooler Master HAF 932 (Old)
PC Power & Cooling 610 Silencer (Old)
WD 74gb Velociraptor (Old)
WD 640gb Blue (Old)
Sata DVD Burner (Old)
Logitech K350 Keyboard (Old)
Razer Diamondback Mouse (Old)
M-Audio LX4 Speakers (Old)
Shure SRH840 Headphones (old)

Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H
Intel i5 4570 Haswell LGA1150
Sapphire 7950 3Gb
G.Skill Ripjaw X 8gb (2x4gb) DDR3 1600
Samsung 840 Evo 120gb
Noctua D14

2x Asus VN248 24" IPS

Primary uses will be for CS:Go, CS:Source, and going to try out the plethora of new games out. What are some games that my system would be able to play smoothly at 1080p resolutions? I like FPS, but will def take all your suggestions!

Secondary uses will be just general browsing, but I do enjoy pushing my computer to its limits. My last Q6600 was overclocked by 50% (2.4 stock to 3.6) 100% stable on OCCT, LinX, etc. My HTPC has an AMD x4 620 (2.6 stock to 3.2) also stable. Didn't bother pushing anymore and running on stock voltage. Will take some details on how to OC my machine if you guys can provide me some.

Edit: I just realized my 2x Monitors only have HDMI & VGA inputs. How will i set up dual monitors if my video card only has 1x HDMI, 2x DVI, and 1x Displayport?

DVI and HDMI use the same electrical signalling, you can buy a simple plug adapter to convert between the two.

As for the config, your CPU is not overclockable beyond 300 MHz (IIRC) over the top turbo bin. You'd need to get an i5 4670K in order to be able to fully overclock it.

One other general config comment. Why bother with the old 74GB Raptor? The SSD is faster and bigger. Hell, a single platter 1TB drive is faster and bigger.
