my new 50x afreey is not much faster than my old pioneer dvd113(third gen, 6x)

i see no speed increase, i though it would copy faster to my hdd with clonecd, but no improvement. nothing is any faster. am i doin something wrong?

don't feel too bad as I upgraded to a Toshiba dvd x16/48 from a pioneer 103s & found that DAE & file transfer speed slower with the new drive which, on paper, is supposed to be faster! :|
yes DMA is enabled for the drive.

its not like the cdrom cost me much , but its kinda dissapointing

Afreeys are only supposed to be above average in DAE, AFAIK
