Background: just about anything other than black.

And, the black and orange don't mix to well.

Personally I like the Orange and Black.

What's hard to read is the Blue text on Black background.

Try to place the horizontal ornage bars to the top and bottom of New News and New Stuff so that they look matched (for lack of a better word).

Fenix is also the name of a StarCraft character. I could give you a link to pictures of him.

Nice site. Shows a lot of promise. Your color scheme does need work though. If you're locked in to the black background, try yellow instead of orange for your text -- at least it will be easier to read.

Get rid of orange! =)

Text generally should be white or black, no other variations are they are unreadable. Been doing web design for a while, and I finally picked up a few books on it (figured, hell, waht do they know that I don't..). They have a lot of good tips.

Get rid of frames, they are not cross browser compliant, and go with tables. You can resize those as the resolution comes along..

See my website (http://www.mt-olympus.net) for any ideas on resizing. You can steal the entire layout if you like, as I haven't worked on it for some time hehe

yeah I second the switch to white text idea if you are going to keep the black background. It might be a slightly generic look, but it is much easier on the eyes.

The orange is fine in my opinion.

Frames are cross browser compatible as well, however you would be better off using tables.

The blue text is hard to read. This is a combination of the black background to the text and the size the text is.

Becareful to only use web safe colours. If you don't, then what appeared one colour to you could look quite different to somebody else.

thx for all ur input and for visiting. Last i checked i had 81 visitors, all from these forums. Im takin in all this input and workin on a new layout as i type this. Probably gonna switch to the normal black text on white background layout. Ditchin frames and redoin the look. The color scheme will probably still be black and orange but those colors will be used outside the main area. Gonna build my friends comp this weekend. Expect reviews of some high quality parts. :)

I added a price guide. Theres only Pentium 3s now but expect the celerons within a few hours. It shows the lowest prices for both slot and fcpga cpus. Hopefully that'll give me a leg up. Once again I cant thank you guys enuff for takin the time to visit. My friend is currently workin on an awesome new layout. It should be up tomorrow.

How about putting a date stamp on your price info so we know when it was last updated? You might also want to reference your source, e.g. PriceWatch, and give a link.

On the front page under "New News" the links to the price guide and the mouse review don't work.

I'd make your Fenix emblem/logo bigger.

Nice start. Good luck.
