Just thought I'd brag a little. I just put together a new system and started benchmarking to see if I screwed everything up.

I hit two problems. First was a defective PSU that wouldn't power any video card properly. Second was my own mistake putting the dual channel ram in a1/b1 rather than a2/b2 and beating my head against the wall wondering why no approved RAM would run at XMP settings. Now I'm happy at 4000/cl16 with G-Skill

Success!

This card is an absolute beast, both is size and performance. Not even Flight Sim 2020 maxed makes it work hard.

This system is an upgrade from my old i7-4790K 2x980 SLI system I built in 2015. A big leap forward.

Good score. My 6900xt can't touch it, but expected for that BM. Timespy, however, puts me even with stock to mild OC'd 3090's.

Try this game in VR. It's best played in VR, but the card will definitely struggle there and make you wish for a 4090. 😛

Thanks! Here is my Time Spy result. Not quite good enough to make the leaderboard. Just 1000 away...

Yup, right at what I'm running for my 'everyday' OC. http://www.3dmark.com/spy/18535293

Swinging for the fences gets me 20.5k, so my card didn't win the silicon lottery, but it's not a dog either. The lack of DLSS is unfortunate. Was looking for a 3080/3090 but none to be had, even subscribed to multiple discord channels. On the other hand, there have been 6900s in stock for 1+ hr at a time.

That said, I'm happy with my 6900xt. Admittedly, would trade it for a 3090 for even money, but happy enough.

Nice!

Yeah, I got lucky in finding a 3090.
