Network Interface Card card. It's the same thing as the Windows 2000 Server login screen, where it says "Powered by NT technology" (NT = New Technology)..

Seriously, though, if I noticed this, I'd gripe to my friends about it. Which would be slightly less geeky if we weren't sitting in engineering lecture.
