My neighbour was taken away in an ambulance last night

We live on a cul-de-sac and at about 12am in the morning, we heard the scream of sirens arriving at one of my neighbour's house. The paramedics went in, and took out what appeared to be a middle-aged old man and everyone on my cul-de-sac went outside to take a look. I had a clear view by the window so I just peered out that. Anyway, the ambulance stayed there for a while after he was lifted in and the family of the house were about to leave in their car (following the ambulance, I'd say) when a paramedic came out of the ambulance and told them something I couldn't possibly hear. The family then got out of the car (which was out of the garage and ready to go at this point) and went back into the house. The ambulance drove away shortly thereafter.

My dad said the guy had a heart attack because it's so hot lately. From what I saw, it seemed the guy died (the family didn't follow after him in the car) or maybe he just broke a bone or something.

If it was obvious he was gonna go sometime they might have decided to wait until morning, since there's nothing they could do. They also might have went back inside to get dressed/etc. Could take enough time that Ender went back to sleep before they came out again.

Last night I was at In-N-Out and a Jeep Cherokee caught fire in the parking lot. I don't know why, but the fire department came and put it out, and then the whole place smelled like burnt car, so we left.

Why not just go knock on the door and tell them that you saw the ambulance and wondered if there was anything you could do to help.

You would not only get the whole story, but also be a good neighbor!
