My neighbor offered to sell me his computer that he bought last year should I get it?

$1000 canadian for the whole thing... its a dell 2.4 ghz, 60gb harddrive (not the 80 gb I thought it was), not sure what video card, 18" dell lcd, printer, fax machine, wireless hub... and a bunch of other stuff that he has for it. Is it worth it? I still have to go and take a look at the thing, but it sounds ok just because of the lcd...
EDIT: So its a dell 4550: 2.4 ghz pentium 4, 60 gb harddrive, geforce4 mx 420 vid card, 512 mb ram, not an 18" lcd, it has a 17" lcd... (the 1700 or 01 or 02 or 03 or whatever the 1700 series one is), harmon kardon speakers
so not quite what I thought it was, but is it still a good deal?
EDIT 2: Yes still getting the printer and fax and the wireless router.

Thats about a buck 95 isn't it? ;)

when going from canadian $ to american $ always move the decimal to the left one spot.

$1000.00 Canadian = $100.00 American.

Yeah it is one of the 8xx series, he bought it in december of last year so not 100% sure what model, he said he paid $3600 for the monitor and computer.

EDIT: oops he didn't pay that much for the monitor and computer, thats what he paid for his laptop... and the computer is not one of the 8x series, its a 4550, I just went over there, he didn't really know what it was so he just said what he thought it was when he was telling me.

Guys, out of the $750 USD the 18" LCD makes up more than half. The rest of the system is guaranteed to be worth far more than $350.

LMAO I could be wrong, but a computer/LCD does not depreciate 70% in 10.5 months, and that's not including all the peripherals you mentioned.

It would be nice if we knew ALL the specs but it sounds like a good deal.

Go for it.
