My neck/back kill

Ok, so I must've done some wierd motion at the gym the other day, but i feel like my spine is not aligned properly, especially a few inches below my neck.

i've had it before, and i'm sure my chiropractor could fix it, but his office is only open until 5:00, and I don't get back from work till 6:30.

any (safe) ways to right myself? some kind of stretch or whatever to fix this? it's really killing me now 🙁

when you get home, sit in a hot bath for a while, take a pain killer or two, then sleep. see if it feels the same in the morning. if so, then you probably have a knot or something in your neck. i've had those a lot, especially when i play golf.

to get them out you have to massage the neck a lot.

oh, and chiropracty is bs imo

from personal experience, i believe chiropractors can do some wonderful things. i had messed up by upper back 2 years ago at the gym, neglected it, played hockey with it, then more gym, etc... it got to the point where i could barely turn my head.

a few weeks of visiting my chiropractor, and all was well again. he popped everything back into place, i guess.

of course, i was dumb, and managed to pop it out again, although not nearly as bad as before. still, i don't have time to visit him, and i needs help!

definitely not a knot. i get those plenty and this feels totally different, like the spine isn't aligned right. i've had it for 2 days now, sleep isn't helping 🙁

I sorta think this pattern is normal for chiropractors... temporary relief, but ultimately no solution. if something is actually injured you need to see a doctor for surgery. btw, im not a doctor so this is all just opinion.

i'm also not an expert, but my back/neck were totally fine for over a year. it would've stayed fine if i hadn't tweaked it at the gym. no chiropractor can prevent my stupidities 🙂

If your spine really is out of line, I'd suggest finding time to see the chiropractor- or an osteopath, if you have one nearby.

My cousin is currently laid up with a ruptured disk. He's almost completely incapacitated at the moment - neck brace, numbness, severe pain, facing surgery and an uncertain outcome. All this is directly traceble to an "adjustment" by a chiropractor.

sorry to hear about that, sounds awful.

i do have to admit, everytime i went to my chiropractor and he did stuff to my kneck, i would hope he was in a good mood... i'm sure they could do some serious injury to you if they aren't careful. for me though, he seriously helped.

but, as i said, i don't have time to go this week, and prob. won't be able to for another two weeks.

i need a get better quick solution 🙂
