my mx600 mouse is acting up

i have a mx 600 cordless mouse and my os is w10. at the bottom left of the screen you can click on a up arrow where you can open up your hidden icons. But when i click on it, my mouse wont or can't open or reveal the hidden icons. What is causing this issue?
also when i want to close a tap on my browser, i have to click on it a couple of times before it does.
i've replaced the batteries, the driver is up to date 5.90.41.

Any ideas why my mouse is acting a little wacky?
