I was messing around trying to teach someone how to share music with all the users of their computer with Windows XP, and when I moved the folder MY MUSIC to the SHARED FOLDER it deleted the MY MUSIC folder from MY DOCUMENTS and I want it back.... I know I can just make a folder and name it MY MUSIC but it loses the "music symbol" that it had and such. How can I make it go back to the way Windows XP comes? I also lost the MY VIDEOS folder a while back..

I am running WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL if that helps... thanks a lot

There is a desktop.ini file which resides in a folder whose special properties (icon, etc) you want to control. (It's not literally a desktop file). Get it from someone who has XP, and you'll be all set.

Alternatively, once you are inside a folder, right-click in an empty area and select "Customize" or something like that (I'm not on XP right now). You can then set the folder icon, background, etc.

Yeah. You can also create the folder, right click on it and select Properties. After the properties window loads up, click on the Customize tab and you can set the folder icon.

If you want to make sure that My Music is still your default music folder in Windows, you can use TweakUI to check. After installing and running TweakUI, select the My Computer catagory in TweakUI and click on special folders. You'll be able to tell Windows which folders to use for your documents, music, video, etc.
