MY MSI 694D Pro will not see my cdrom

I installed 4 hdd to the primary and secondary controllers to edit files
I have installed the ATA 100 drivers on the drive I boot to but with my cd-rom plugged into the third controller which is the ATA 100 controller sometimes the cd-rom show up but i keep getting the --not ready reading drive h:--
Anyone have any ideas ??

First try upgrading your BIOS to the most current. _OR_, just stick with putting the CDROM on either IDE1 or IDE2. No CDROM currently supports ATA/100 (that I am aware of, show me if I'm wrong) and there is no performance benefits from putting a CDROM on an ATA/100 channel.
