My mouse squeaks!

I've had a lot of mice, but never had one that squeaks. Cleaned a lot of mice, too. Should I put a tiny drop of oil in the rollers? It's a little annoying. It's a cheapo Chinese USB 3-button, but I like it because it just feels so cool. It feels like it's covered in a fine fine velvet! I have an MS Intellimouse Optical that I'll probably start using soon, but meantime, I do like this one. Thanks.

Try not to get any oil on the rollers themselves (you need friction to move the ball)
Just on the spindles. (Intellimouse-Optical here, it's decent)

Silicone slide spray works good also, plus you can use the rest of the can on other items around the car and house.

My MS Wireless Intellimouse Optical used to squeak when I put fresh batteries (1.5V) in it. MS said it was due to capacitors. It really did sound like a mouse. I know your problem isn't anywhere near similar to mine, but I just thought I'd share my squeaky mouse story. Eventually, it misbehaved, and I had to put it down.

I fed my USB mouse the tiniest drops of oil on either side of the 1/8 inch wide metal roller and it stopped squeaking. Total silence.
