My mouse keeps killing ports on my USB hub

I have an older AC powered Interact USB hub and an A4Tech wireless mouse. I used these for months with no problem up until a month ago when I swapped out my old Soyo 6VCA mobo for a MSI 694T Pro. Since then 2 ports on my hub have died while I've had the mouse plugged into the USB charger. I don't know if it's coincidence with the motherboard swap, or if that had something to do with it. I'm down to 2 working ports on the hub and would like to keep those working, but I also need to charge my mouse at times. Anyone have any ideas? Is there any way to revive the dead ports? They don't detect anything plugged into them, don't juice my mouse enough to charge it anymore, and the lights for the ports are very dim. Thanks.
