What type? None of mine have lasted longer than three or so years... my cheap $7 optical Logitech barely even lasted one year.

RIP little buddy. Are you going to bury him, or send him to the watery abyss?

For a companion like that, you should pay Russia a million buck to commit him to space.

Not sure if you care for the grammar nazi side of me, but it should be "its" and not "it's". It's is a contraction for it is, however its shows ownership.

(just saying it because I wondered for a while till a friend explained it)

I had my MX500 for about 3 years and it had been used for 2 years before that when the left clicker stopped working properly. Upgraded to a MX518.

I've been using my original MS Intellimouse Explorer since 2001. Now the buttons keep registering double or even triple clicks when I click it once, so I bought an MX518 from Newegg. It should be here tomorrow. I can't wait, this mouse is really starting to piss me off.

I would have bought the G7 but I need the "forward" button.

My mouse is on its regular bed. The wheel sticks a bit though. I've always been content with using the most basic of mice - Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse. I have a half dozen spares.
