That Pantech C630 looks interesting...I need to read more. I am with AT&T.

The phone cuts out now...the ear piece and mouth piece go dead.

I am looking for a bar phone...compact and good reception are more critical than bells and whistles.

Here is a review of the C630.

Since you know moto, you might like the Z9. It's free with a new contract.

The SE W760a is also something you might be interested in. The call quality is great, and at $100 with contract, it's a pretty good deal.

Thanks...that Z9 looks interesting despite being a slider...I will check it out. I wish my L7 wasn't dying though.

Do they not sell the L7 anymore?

Nokia's 5310 Expressmusic is 9.9 mm (0.38976378 inches, according to Google).

It's also got FM radio, Bluetooth (Bluetooth syncing compatible with Vista as well), and a multimedia player. Ok, the screen is not that big, but it's also got a 3.5 mm headphones jack, so you don't have to use any kind of adapter for it, and they provide a headset as well. The cool thing about the headset is that the microphone can be detached, and you can use any headphone you like, while being able to use your own headphones as a headset since the microphone is still connected.

Nokia usually has good reception, and good quality.

I don't think at&t carries it though, I think T mobile does. IMO, it's not worth the extra cash that the OP would have to pay.

Oh yea, I forgot that you guys have to have what the carrier has carries.

If you want to go the unlocked route, there's always this phone, though.

got the Z9 the day before AT&T discontinued it...should be here tomorrow. I'd rather not pay for a phone right now I bled money this month on power tools and car parts.
