My motherboard is screwed...can I get a RMA on this?

If you bought it OEM then it's usually the supplier's responsibility to provide a warranty. However, if there is a warranty then it should cover this since it was not overclocked.

doh I just ran some more checks swapping likely broken components with the HP computer downstairs and it seems like its my motherboard...I had a s3 1meg card lying around so I ran that upstairs and it didnt run anything, so I brought in a new moniter and that didnt help, so I took the moniter I had upstairs and the S3 to the HP and it ran! I couldnt test the Geforce cuz it was AGP , but I'm pretty sure its the mobo now though! Any seconds? my mobo is a Soyo6BA+ IV bought from Compusa less than a year ago new boxed!

I know that best buy honors manufacturers warranties, compusa may do the same. If they don' b!tch about how best buy does and they might help you out.

soyo will not charge you 15 dollar for rma if you live within the state of california. soyo has very good rma policies in my experience. i've had to replace my board once, and i got it back a week and a half later, and i live in so cal. don't rely on their email though, they will never reply. call them up, best time is in the morning because they will be extremely prompt about it. if your mainboard is out of warranty, they will charge you 35 bucks for either a repair or replacement, still, cheaper than getting a whole new board. especially if you're like me and it costs 380+ bucks. yikes. you will have to download their rma form from their website, www.soyotek.com or have them fax it to you. once you get this, fax it to them with it filled out and they will give you an rma number. good luck

/edit/ soyo did not charge me 15 bucks, i don't know if this will hold true for others.
