My morning nef... Have you eaten anything strange?

I've eaten chicken heart before... didn' know what it was until my dad finally told me and i almost threw up.

has anyone tried any brains of some sort? 🙂

[edit]
man im such a nef.. i wake up and have about an hour to waste before seeing my gf.. Now I post this and all I do is obsessively press refresh for replies.... I should go and start brushing my teeth... yawn

yes, i've eaten pig ear, chicken liver, chicken legs, etc etc...... 😀

now you can go brush your teeth or something

I made a small pizza with alfredo sauce, tomato strips, chicken, brocoli, bacon, franks red hot, and extra cheese. Barely got it outta the pan to cook it on the pizza rock 🙂

I hate to tell you this, but if you've eaten sausage, hot dogs or chicken nuggets, you've probably eaten a lot of other things you might consider strange 😉

y'know, escargot and beef brains are kind of similar in texture, (and tasty), but you may never know if you just stick to just eating what you're familiar with. 😀

Frog legs... mmm. Tastes like chicken. Really. The texture is a little different, but it really tastes a lot like chicken.

I've been to Philippines many times when I was in the Navy. In there, there is this rotted egg called "Balut".
This Balut supposed to increase your sexual stamina, but I just couldn't eat something that is rotted with
feathers and bones so I've always resisted until about 10th visit.

I was in Subic City (we call it Sin City) and was having a good time in bars, we ran into couple of Marines
that we knew from the base so we started to drink together. We were just trashed by the time midnight rolled around,
and one Marine bought 6 Baluts and dared everyone to eat it. I was hesitant but I couldn't let the Jarhead heads get best of me so I ate it.
YUCK, that was nasty, friggin feathers and crunching bones made me ill. I ate the whole rotted chick, but ened up throwing up in a few minutes after.
Never ate another Balut again.

Yeah I had strawberry honeycomb today too, but I have to say I like the original honeycomb better.

I don't believe they're supposed to be rotten. They just wait for the embryo to mature to a certain point and you just eat it out of the egg. It was on the food channel a while back 🙂

Chicken liver? That's not strange at all, neither is gizzard(yum).

My strangest food would be Prarie Oysters aka Rocky Mountain Oysters, aka Bulls Balls. I'd eat them again, they're yummy.

For me, the strangest thing I've had was fried alligator. It was interesting. I've had dried squid and other assorted asian foods that would probably be considered strange here in the states.
