My monitor.. started to play weird at 144Hz

Ok, so I bought a new monitor recently, AOC G2460PF 144Hz... I have it for a month now and enjoyed it, but today I suddenly come to to a screen that looked like 2 displays over eachother a bit transparent and off by few pixels. Then I went to display settings and changed resolution to lower and it went black, so I restart and nothing. Then I plug the old monitor and it works.
So I unplug the AOC DP and plug it DVI and it works, then I go to settings and put it 144Hz and it shows weird image and goes black, then it auto reverts the setting to 60Hz and it's ok again, then I put 120Hz and it stays with the weird image and doesn't go black, so I took a picture...

and it looked even more f-ed up a while ago

what could it be? Think I might need to send it back...

What if you leave the refresh rate to 60Hz and play some game (with vsync off) where you can get 144+ fps? Will the same thing happen?

.. it only happens above 60Hz.. and no idea why, and I had some wierd stuff going on before that, like I wake up and see screen all f-ed up and I restart pc and everything is normal, but now it's perma on 144Hz, I will try to get the warranty going

Wait a second, Are you using a dual link DVI cable? What if the connection between your GPU and your monitor simply did not have enough bandwidth to support 1080p@144Hz?

that's funny cuz it was my plan but I moved the pc to another location and didn't use the monitor for half a day, connected everything and monitor with DP and it works now... no idea what was going on...
At 144Hz? What other location? A different room in the house or a different house alltogether?

I was at other house, it happened again, when it happened I plugged the same monitor to my brothers pc and it worked normaly on 144Hz, so it's not the monitor.
But days passed after that and it never occured again even I didn't change a thing.
