My monitor is too dark!

I have two monitors - a viewsonic ps790 professional 19" monitor and a likom viewmate lp785 17" monitor. They are both at equal brightness settings through windows and the monitor controls. my likom is just way too dark than my viewsonic, especially in games. And if i try to change the gamma and brightness settings in windows or the games, it gets way too bright and ugly that it hurts. How can i match the likom monitor to my viewsonic monitor? Also, my likom is set to maxed brightness settings thru the monitor controls while my viewsonic is at 80%, and my viewsonic monitor is still brighter.

Try only changing the gamma setting in the control panel but don't touch the brightness.
