My monitor is dying!!

i was wondering if this is fixable or if the monitor is just going dead. the monitor is a nec/multisync fp1350.
when it first comes on it's find...then little flickering black lines show up. as the monitor heats up they become more and moreand more. they move with any movement on screen and i've tried different refresh rates adn resolutions. i have a geforce 3 card, athlon xp 2100+ on an epox 8rda+.768mb of pc2100.

Sounds like a heat short of some kind, and that's not good. It is likely just a matter of time until it dies completely. Better start shopping because it is often times just as expensive (or more than) to repair than it is to just buy a new one.
