My Monitor is bummed! NOOOOOO....

I have a ViewSonic A70 right now, and it acts rather strange. It will work fine, and suddenly, the screen will have a pinkish glow for like a few minutes, and then dissapear. Yesterday when i turned the pooter on, it glowed pinkish for like an hour or so...
It also once flickered, and glowed bluish for about a few seconds...
Don't tell me it's screwed... tell me that it's fixable, and that i don't need to send it to ViewSonic to fix it......

try wiggling the monitor cable. That is usually the culprit when it comes to strange colors

could be the cord, if a couple pins are outta place or screwey you'll get wierd colors. Pink being a possibility.

Hmmm, my monitor cable was unsecured, so i hope that fixed the problem...

Not if your monitor is a KDS, they have the best RMA department...

I have a ViewSonic A70 - not a KDS... but i have 3 years of warranty on it, so i am still covered...

I had the same problem with my Compaq monitor. It was still covered under the warranty. So, I got shipped a brand new one within a few days.
