My monitor is acting up.

I have a Samsung 700IFT @ 800 x 600 @ 85Hz. All the sudden it is showing a black bar going up the screen like if you see a computer screen on TV. Its been doing it for a while now but I haven't really noticed it but all the sudden its getting bigger and bigger and annoying the hell out of me. Is there anything I can do? Should I see if samsung can replace/fix it what? thanks
 
it could be that you eye's refresh rate is faster than of the monitor, highly unlikely, but its probably the monitors refresh rate is f***'d up
 
I read in sci.electronics.repair that it's a hum bar, which is a power supply or interference problem. Ask there -- that place is full of techs.
