My monitor doesnt pick up my GPU !!!!

Hi guys ive just bought a new psu and a new GPU (7970oc) ive plugged everything in right but my monitor isn't picking it up.....ive tried connecting it to the on board chip and that works fine.... what could the problem be????

Change the setting in BIOS so that the PCI card is detected first.

i can but the dvi port is on the mobo not the gpu

sorry... what i was ment to say was that i dont have the cord

i booted it before i got my new psu and it worked fine but one the new one came in. no display

If ur bios settings are all good at this point I would recommend to use dvi before rma-ing the card

Yeppir, get a dvi to dvi cord. Local computer store may have one for a reasonable price.

Sounds like the PSU to me. Do you have the old PSU?

Psu is not the issue here.Also please ensure that the 8+6 pin connectors are properly secured.Toughpower XT 875 is a very good psu

YES!!!!!!! I GOT IT WORKING.... it was a power problem im over the moon
