My mom witnessed this at the airport....

Ok my mom works for continental airlines as a ticket agent so she gets to see and hear about a lot of stupid crap. This is what happened last week.....

A normal guy with long hair bought a ticket and had only a carry on for the flight. After getting his ticket at the ticket counter, he proceeded to go up to the gate area. He got to the security machines and they asked to search his carry on. He had no problem with that. When they opened it up they found 5lbs of weed. His exact words, "I thought y'all were only looking for bombs, I thought drugs wouldn't be a problem".

He was promptly arrested. I just can't image why someone would think they could get away with it. My mom said he was so calm about it too. He seriously thought they wouldn't bother him since it wasn't a bomb or weapons.

I feel less of the law breathing down my neck because of "drugs". The focus has obviously shifted, but thats just a little silly.
Have not heard a word about the war on drugs for a while now.

For some reason I get the feeling that the amount of five pounds is greatly exagerated and is probably more along the lines of a joint that he got caught with. Nobody is stupid enough to just put five pounds in their carry onin this age of such carry on scrutiny. I'm not calling you a liar, as i'm sure he was caught with weed, just more like a gram and not fivepounds, because anybody stupid enough to get caught doesn't have brains enough to have money for a pound, let alone five.
