I have always had a very close reationship with both of my parents. For that, I am very thankful. This year, when she asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told her nothing. A few new shirts and such, but I encouraged her to spend more on my young sister. I have always been a traditionalist, putting the real meaning of the holiday.. family.. first. She knows I am an avid gamer, but I told her to just forget the 360. Because it costs a ton, and you would drive yourself nuts trying to get one, I really didn't want her to even consider it. She knew me too well though, it was something I would clearly love to have...

I guess she was feeling extra grateful I brought my GPA up this semester to a 3.7. Or something else.. I couldn't believe what happened this morning. My family exchanged gifts, had a nice breakfast and watched "A Christmas Story". After this I was going out to my car to get something and I saw a box wrapped hidden in the closet with my jacket. It had my name on it, I opened it and there was a perfect Xbox 360 sitting right inside. I nearly fell over!

My mom told me our local Target was expecting 30 Xbox 360's. She showed up at 11PM and got online. She was number 31.. The manager came out, feeling very bad for her, and said they just got the shipment in and recieved exactly 30 consoles. It was pouring rain. My mom stood out like a sour thumb with the typical gaming crowd you would expect to see. She would not leave though. She told the manager she believed in Christmas magic and would not leave her spot online. The manager just bowed his head and went back inside. Through the night my mom said the young 20'somethings were very nice to her. They taught her some card games and kept her company. What good people....

9 hours later when the store opened the manager came back out. The line, by now was quite a bit longer. She said, "I have some good news for you, and some bad news... We have exactly 32 Xbox360 consoles for sale". My mom said the man behind her fainted. Soaked, she bought the Xbox and went to work at 10am.

I am overwhelmed by my mothers love for me... such great love few people seem to enjoy in their lives. I am taking my family to Lake Placid NY with some money I made working so we can spend some time together while I am home. Just had to share this sweet story with you.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Here's what you have to do

E-bay it. Take the profits (you'll easily make more than retail cost) and buy her something EXTRA nice.

I could never. She even ordered me the HDD on Ebay so I could play Halo. I never asked for any of this. I would never sell her gift.

wow! ... Wow! That is a way cool mom!

My loving mother would sooner have sent me a fecalgram for Christmas than give me an Xbox 360 (My family all hates videogames, and hates that I enjoy them lol)

Shove it. :) I'll add pics later, jerk.

I'll also add pics of a XBOX that I don't own later.

Post a pic with you holding a piece of paper with todays date and your name with your XBOX360 and I might believe you.

Just show what great lenghts a parent will do to get a gift for a child. Hopefully when she is old and grey you'll remember this moment in time what she did for you. Merry Christmas. :)

Heh, so that means those Target employees were actually trying to horde 2 Xbox 360's. After noticing some customers still passed the 30 limit they decided to not horde the Xbox 360's.
Pretty common on release day.

Rain is wet? Really?

For the sake of everybody elses time, say what you mean in as few words as possible. Being redundant wastes everybody's time.
