It was raining really hard this morning. I met my mom for breakfast before work and as I was leaving the restaurant, I made some crack about having to run through the rain because I didn't want to melt. She said, "You know, salt melts too."

Ouch.

When it is raining out, some people will tell someone that they like to hurry up and get out of the rain because sugar melts. I was implying this upon myself whereupon my mom pointed out that salt also melts.

YES, I MEAN DISSOLVES but that's not how every old person over the age of 75 says it.
