I have PT-2006 mobo, I don't know what brand that is, it doesn't say on the board except 'PT-2006'. It's an old 150Mhz machine w/ some jumper change to 166Mhz and I currently use 4 Simm slots of memory but I see there is 1 DIMM slot. I plugged in 32M Dimm but it won't boot up. It doesn't seem to recognize it is there. I looked in the BIOS for any settings that was for DIMM but I didn't see anything relevent.
It will only boot up with SIMM cards in it. When I put both DIMM and SIMM it doesn't recognize DIMM and boots up with only SIMM.

How can I use DIMM? If it's there obviously it is meant to be used right?

Help!

Yes, you can use a single DIMM, but only up to a size of 32MB. Check for the DIMM type as well. It may require 5 volt as opposed to the regular 3.3 volt DIMMs that we use today.
