I got help from a few of you guys about a month ago. I had my mobo die on me for no apparent reason.
You suggested a powersupply and some replacement parts for me....
I got a new enermax psu and rma'd my board.
I just replaced the thermal compound on my stock gainward gf3 heatsink. It doesn't sit on there terribly tight anymore... I replaced the original with artic alumina today. Does it have to be very tight? If so how should I fix it? More alumina... (seems like a bad idea) or should I bend the retainer pin holes up a little... or do I really need to replace the heatsink? I wouldn't worry about it so much but it will shift a little on the gpu now if I nudge it.... Grrr thanks for your help!

You want snug definitely....Artica Alumina is just a thermal transfer material and not a bonding agent like thermal epoxy....Try to modify clips if you can, but definitely go for snug with no movement...
