My middle finger hurts

Does your middle finger ever hurt from using the scroll wheel on your mouse? It's never a sharp pain, but rather an arthritisy stiffness. I'm wondering if I should stop using the scroll wheel.

I scroll with my index finger. I suppose I could use my middle finger, but that would take some getting used to.
