hah, for my CPE329 project this quarter my partner and I interfaced a keyboard and LCD just like you did, however we made ours into a piano system. You play the keys on the keyboard as if they were a piano. You can change the octave of the notes you're playing, record yourself and play it back, or use the built-in metronome that we coded. I like your idea though--it is really cool!

I can't believe you wrote all of that in assembly--we wrote ours in C. I would have never been able to do that in assembly.
