My memory is checked 5 times upon post!!

For some reason, BIOS (Award v6.00) on my MSI K7T Turbo2+Duron900, likes to check my memory 5 times before it'll go into windows 2000. How can I stop that or least cut it down to a single memory check?? I don't want to activating quick boot though. thanks!

There's a BIOS setting for abbreviated POST. Drop into the BIOS setup and select it.

The full post routine are there to run after system maintenance if there's a problem, it usually finds it.

Good Luck

Right . . . it's called Quickboot. Turn it on. You can't have it both ways.

Thanks for the help. It's funny b/c my other computer has the same bios, the quick boot is off, and it won't check my memory but once.
