Whenever I put my car into reverse, it doesnt move at all. I have to slowly apply pressure to gas to get it kicking and if I apply to hard, the tranny hits really hard. It doesnt do this in any forward gears, only in reverse. Guys have any ideas if the whole tranny is done or if its something simple

i had a 929 from around that time and had to have the tranmission replaced. the problem with those trannies was they werent cooled properly. when my mechanic replaced the transmission he also added a new cooler. unfortunately after 200,000 miles she finally died on me.

It's prolly gonna crap out on ya... there's TONS of similar stories on Edmunds forums. It seems they wen't to hell from 94 models on and weren't really fixed till about 2000. I got a 93, with the different GF4-EL (IIRC) tranny, it shifts like crap, but still kickin'! I'm not sure there's too much you can do about an auto tranny aside from flushing and refilling the fluid.
