My Mailbox file is HUGE

I have an mbox file on my server that's 500 megs. I can't even access my email any longer.

I went ahead and downloaded the file to my pc, which fixed the problem, but I need those emails... Any suggestions for accessing them? I now have a 500mb mbox file on my home pc...

In the past I used a file splitter and browsed the hundreds of text files it created; I don't want to do that again!

If you are talking about a pst file (if your using Outlook), run pst scan. It will correct any errors. Then just add that file back into Outlook as a personal folder.

A 500MB file isn't that big.

the largest PST I've seen here at work is 1.8 gigs.

Maybe try to use something like Eudora or Mozilla's Thunderbird and try import it? Not sure it that will work, but thunderbird is a free download and so it's worth a try, I figure.

Then you can probably export it as a pst file or a colon deliminated text file or whatever and import it back into outlook if you realy want to use that. I am guessing.
