my computer is having "SERIOUS" technical problems
.basically my computer randomly "powers off"and then if i try to power it back on with the power switch or reconnecting the power cord..well it starts up for 2 seconds.. and then dies(powers down)...
then if i fiddle around and move the cards, disconnect
fans etc.. it starts working again.. and then again.. maybe in a couple of hrs.. the computer powers down again..this is highly frustrating and I have no clue as to what could be wrong..if u have any suggestions then email me.. or post here.

I have already tried a second power supply. so it's not a power supply problem..
Here is my machine's config..
Abit Bp6 , 2 celeron 366>550 mhz
256 MB ram. 40 x cdrom drive, 10x pioneer dvd drive, 8x scsi burner HP 9200i

I have ati POS 8 MB video card, real magic dvd decoder card, turtle beach sound card, fore pca200e atm card(network) , tekram scsi card.
usb scanner and usb intel home camera
I have antec ks 188 with 300 watt PS.

any help will be greatly appreciated..

If I were you, I would turn off all overclocking for right now. Try everything at it's "stock" settings and see if it stops rebooting. If that fixes the problem, start overclocking again, one thing at a time, until you find the problem.

Will try that.
see the problem is not that it reboots..
the problem is that it powers down.. as in goes dead..

and then trying to power it back on.. the thing powers off again in around 2 secs..
the only way of getting it to power on properly again is to reseat all cards, cpu fans etc..

I have a strong suspicion its the cpu fans..
are they messed up(shorting) or something? they been working fine for almost a year now.
