I, just like the billion other people on Nov. 12, rushed out and bought the ultra super deluxe collector's gift box, complete with the bookends and all the extra crap. I just had to have it, end of story.

But my friend who bought the regular version has that movie bucks or something ticket that gives you a free pass to the twin towers, and I dont have it!!!!!

Is this just me, or does everyone's collector's gift box not have one? Who the heck would I write to? Weta?

Im pissssed!

They probably figured you would already be in line with your mithril chainmail and your elvish cloak +5, so a measly $10 movie ticket would not put a dent in your gold sack.

my gift set is wrapped up for xmas, but i belive disc one and two are the extended edition of the movie
3 and 4 are numerous extras, including "thousandS" or something of photos and of course other making of type stuff
disc 5 is in the extended gift set only, not the regular extended edition, and i think has some national geographic special on location in new zealand for lotr scene stuff

Hint: If you find a box with a sticker that says "free movie ticket inside", pick up the box. If the box doesn't have the sticker, then don't pick it up! There were six or seven of the 4-disc extended versions left at Target when I went to get it for $24.99 this weekend, but there was only one box with the sticker on it. I picked the one with the sticker to be safe.

I didn't know the delux set has a free ticket cause I haven't opened the set, but I'll have to do that now just so I can go see it again by the end of the month ;)

I used to work at a movie theater as a cashier and it's just like a check. The cashier at whatever theater you went to is just retarded. Its not a discounted ticket or anything so you should be fine, if not just ask for a manager.
