I add a Dish network receiver and now I can not get my tv to swap inputs between tv and hdmi(what my 360 uses), and I cant get the dn receiver to turn on and off. I have tried the help functions a million times, any suggestions? I have also put the remotes close to eh other to learn the commands, it shows to be successful but nothing

Hmm..sounds like its not the wrong signals, but a timing problem maybe.

What TV? What receiver?

Well the plasma has direct input controls, so that should be easy for the Harmony. That really makes me think it a timing issue.

You might have to make a custom "utility" action that puts a useless action in-between important ones to make things work. To do this add a device to your line-up that is not there, and put actions to it in-between each important action. Example:

1. "Turn on TV"
2. "Turn on VCR that broke in 1995 in the closet"
3. "Turn TV to right input"
4. "Make VCR rewind"
5. "Turn on receiver"

etc.

I have to do that on some inputs personally because some times things are too slow for the Harmony even after setting delays. In fact on one I have one of the buttons set to a macro after the first activity because it didn't complete the needed action with just the activity action limits (turning on SBS 3D on my TV).

What model of Harmony by chance?

So you can control 5 devices: TV, Receiver, Cable Box, Blu Ray Player?, Fake thing

I have had a 600 series (659) and it has always worked for me after some tweaking.

Have you tried just a utility program to change the inputs on the TV to start a process of elimination?
