My local Mcdonald's cheaps out on filet-o-fish sandwich!

They now only put half piece of cheese on my favorite Mcdonald's sandwich! :| But it's only $1....can't complain much.
 
you know, i was at carl's the other day and I was watching the guy make a sandwich. Man, the stuff that looks like mayo or ranch or whatever, I was watching the guy put it on the bread, it's so watered down it was wrong to look at. Talk about cost cutting.
 
At least they give you the fish, I ordered a chicken sandwich at Chic Filet and the forrgot the fvcking chicken. This wouldn't have been so bad if it was a "hamburger joint" where the pimple faced kid could say "oh sorry dude I forgot we had chicken". It was a god damn chic filet.
 
WTF ?! I want it for $1 !!!!! I love that thing too... is it only Fridays or all the time ?
 
Actually, they've always but half a slice of cheese. I used to work there back in 2000. Someone in the grill may put a whole slice my mistake. But half a slice is standard.

You must not eat the Filet-o-Fish very often...they've used half slice for years now.
Back when I first worked there in 90, we used half a slice too.
 
And actually McDonalds have taken steps to make the Filet better again.
Most if not all McDonalds steam the buns again like they used to.
Getting those machines back again and hooking up a water line for steam cost about $900.
Everyone say the steam buns make it better but I don't eat them so I wouldn't know.

McDonalds is gross. As is pretty much all fast food. And pretty much all chain restaurants. I swear I was born in the wrong country.

the worst thing about workign at fast food restaurants is taht you get first hand experience at what they put into that crap. man i know i would be scarred for life if i worked at any of those places....after living at taco bell last year i know i'm never eating there again. 😀
 
Not gonna order, but, uh, what half of the sandwhich gets the cheese?

Or is it a half-fish(TM) / half cheese sandwhich?

 
That's like their worst sandwich health-wise, but yeah, most of them only put 1/2 slice cheese because the filet has been shrunk down so much. When they first came out back in the 70's, they were fairly large and had a cripsy "beer batter" style coating. Now they're mushy squares swimming in too much tartar sauce. Ugh.

I went to KFC last week to pick up a quick Sunday dinner and they were out of chicken! I'm not making this up- I went through the drive through, and they said they wouldn't have any chicken ready for 40 minutes. WTH???? How does a chicken place run out of chicken? Are they making it on a per customer basis??? KFC has always been a nasty place to eat, but that's just plain poor.
