About a week back I saw my little sister putting some clothes into her drawer that were shoplifted (had the secruity tag on them). I chuckled, made a comment about it later and moved on. Didn't think much of it.

Fast Forward to today.

My mom and sister were fighting earlier about money. My little sister mentioned that there were times when she hadn't recieved money for clothes (the pay for all of her clothes, well its like 200 every few months). And my mother replied that was because she didn't have a recipt. MY little sister was showing those very same clothes that were shoplifted and demanding money.

So she steals from the clothing stores, then hits up mom and dad for cash.....

What should I do? Should I blackmail her?

EDIT: A little background, she is 18 (just turned last month) and I am 20, just here for the summer.

Call the coppers and turn her in. Shoplifters make everything cost more for the rest of us.

Havd a nice day. :)

You should tell your parents and suggest that they turn her in to the store, make her get a job, and require weekly checks of her room to search for stolen goods.

If she gets away with bullsh!t like that now, she think it's cool as hell when she's older. Make her life suck for this. Then laugh. A lot.

Tell her to freeze off the tags, then return the clothes to the store and give you half; or you turn her in.

I think i'm too late! This is written as if my sister is 12 or something. She just had her 18th birthday last month!

Heh, if they catch her she goes to pound me in the ass prison!

Tell your parents before they have to bail her out of jail

yeah, seriously. if you care at all for your sister and your parents (do you want them to go through the misery of learning this from the police?), you'd confront your sister or at least inform your parents. i'm inclined to say that you should tell your folks.

My son got shoplifting a few years back, he was over 18 and he got 15 days in county. He hasn't even thought about shoplifting again.

Have a nice day. :)

P.S. I could have paid the $1500 fine to keep him from going but I didn't. Let the hate begin.

:p

i once stole an extremely overpriced LED flashlight from Dick's, it had fallen out of the package, and was just setting on the floor by the shelf.

she was using the clothes to hide the smack underneath them. it's too late for anything to be done, just let her hit bottom on her own.

geez you're 18 and 20, sounds like a couple 12 year olds. Tell your parents and bust her, or else she will end up in serious legal trouble.

so are you going to do something ethical here, or are you seriously considering resorting to such methods as blackmail?
