So apparently my little brother's friend who's 14 years old got caught shoplifting. He also admitted to stealing a headband at another store and his accomplice admitted to "planned burglary", so stupid, but anyways...

since he is a minor, what is the worst punishment for committed burglary?

He needs his ass beaten on a weekly basis, for about a month. But that probably won't happen, he'll probably get off with some lame community service or the like.

Seriously - He will probably get a fine, go to juvie, get community service, or get a stern talking to.

He'll be fine, kids are starting to steal and sooner ages when they see their older brothers/sisters do it, very dissapointing. I hate lawyers too, people get away with lots of stealing, and then when they finally get caught, they grab a lawyer, give him $400 or $500, and he'll get them off of it without any issue.

Tell the retard to google what the laws are in his city/state to find out what he's facing....

He's not going to "juvie".

Assuming that this is his first offense and since he is a minor, he will probably:

A) have to pay restitution
B) Be banned from the store / shopping complex
C) Will have to talk to a counselor

Was he arrested and booked by police or did the store take care of the issue internally?

I got caught for shoplifting at walmart before when I was 14. They banned me and said I wuld have to pay a fine. The fine never came in the mail and I still go there (although i don't steal anymore)
