I would do Thailand in a heartbeat. Fiji and Bali are nice but there's more to do in Thailand for 3 weeks. Find yourself a nice little romantic spot on a tropical island and enjoy. When you've had enough quality time alone come up for air and head to Bangkok or some of the old Capitals like Ayuthaya. Head north to Chiang Mai. There's a billion things to do in Thailand and people there on their Honeymoon were having the times of their lives.

Florence is a great city but 2 weeks there for your honeymoon? 3 weeks in Italy? If you're going to do that do a few days in a Venice, a few days in Florence, and a few days in Rome and then move on to a beach somewhere. Hit the Greek Islands or go to Turkey. That's my opinion at least and I see you listed some islands so I'd assume you're interested in some R/R.

I think a week in rome migt be a bit much maybe spend more time in venice. I found that I could see all the sites in rome in about 4 days, Rome was a bit too touristy for my taste.

I have to agree. I really did not like Rome all that much, apart from the famous sites (especially the Vatican). In comparison with Florence/Venice, I would much rather spend less time in Rome.

A few days in Rome is more than enough. You'll just get frustrated if you stay too long. There are a LOT of tourists there. Rome is great to see at night though when a lot of it is lit up and the toursts/touts/scam artists aren't everywhere.

Does everyone go somewhere warm for their honeymoon?

I've always thought a ski vacation might be fun as a honeymoon if both were into that sort of thing. Lake Tahoe/Reno for views of the lake/mountains + skiing/snowboarding/snowmobiling and some casinos at night. I guess the romance factor is somewhat lacking, so might have to try to get a room with a view and a fireplace, if such exists.

I suppose it isn't really exotic or special, though, and is really season dependent.

Perhaps Reno/Tahoe is more attractive as a venue for the wedding itself (large casino hotels with convention centers; smaller version of Las Vegas) than for the actual honeymoon.

Bruges is reeeeeally small. BTW, you can get a veggie burger, believe it or not, in one place on the main square. I don't remember the name, but it was a really interesting take on veggie burgers. Florence is surprisingly small too, though it's a real city.

Paris FTW! Two weeks there wasn't enough.

I love Ireland, but I wouldnt go to Kerry. Cork is nice or the eastern coast so you could really make easy day trips to Dublin. Oh dont go to Northern if you Catholic of course!!! ;-)

I loved Florence when I went in high school. Beautiful city. Take a day trip to Assisi too. (I forget how close it is)
