I went to upgrade to the latest DD-WRT firmware today and I believe it has killed my router. I'm able to ping the router and all of the machines behind it, but it gets dicey when I go through it. I can ping my ISP's gateway without a problem, but anything else is asking too much. I can get MAYBE 1 out of 4 packets to go through to my ISP's DNS servers. The others time out. This makes resolving hosts a problem. Even if I do manage to resolve a host like Google, I'll get the same amount of packetloss through to the direct ip.
When I connect my laptop to the modem directly, everything works fine. I can ping, surf, etc. So I'm pretty sure it's not my ISP. Ive tried different firmwares including the original Linksys firmware without any change in performance. All have been set to factory defaults. I've tried unplugging the router and hitting the reset button, but neither help. Is there a way to REALLY reset this thing or has this thing seen its last packets?
