my licence is about to expire...

i have a question about my licence.. it is about to expire and i want to renew it. what do i do?? do i have to take the written test again? or take the picture again or......??

DMV shoulda sent you a letter a while ago, saying what you needed to do to renew it.

California DMV usually just sends you a renewal notice that you pay 10 dollars to renew you don't have to take new pictures or the written test again as long as you renew by mail before the expiration date.

that's what i did a year ago ... valid for another couple of years.

I never got a letter saying it had expired. I got in a little fender bender. The idiot called the cops (about $7 in damage) and I got a ticket for expired license = $90.

You should get a letter a couple months before expiration.

This reminds me, I have to send my letter in, license is expiring soon.
